Flowers Were So Late This Year

All the blooms were so late this year the fruit trees and bulbs have been a good month behind last year and the year before! After a lot of snow over the winter we have had NO springs rains and it is dry and dusty out there. With not much spring left I am hoping things kick into gear in the rain department or dispite our heavy winter we could be in for a bad fire season.
We just planted some of these dual color daffodils last fall they are pretty cool. The deer got most of the tulips before I got any deer spray on them and then a late freeze took out some that survived

I don’t know what that is, but there were not very many of them this year. They are really tiny and one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. Unless you are walking through the forest and not on the road you would not even notice them. They are my favorites to try and capture so delicate, I was kind of bummed to see so few. I thought there would be lots with how much snow we got.
