The end of the main road at Mt Crested Butte (the ski area) looking back toward the ski area housing development
That is Mt Crested Butte you can’t see the ski area itself from this spot, it is behind that hill.
End of the main road I am not sure where this dirt road goes there were bikers heading out that way. Well my topo atlas says it is FS 317 and it goes to a trail head leading into the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness area. Guess if there had been no schedule at all I would have headed down that road to check it out.
